Mike MacKinven

Art Director, Photographer, Crazy Cat Person. By day he's a freelance Art Director – working in the Advertising Industry as a creative. By night, he's usually out shooting the stars and teaching Astrophotography.

Finalist in NZ Geographic Photographer of the Year 2016, Winner of the NZ National Award (and Panorama finalist) in the Sony World Photography Awards, 2014 Harry Williams Astrophotographer of the year, plus many more accolades. Now he enjoys passing on his knowledge of shooting the night sky and landscapes by running Astro/Landscape workshops around New Zealand.
